Although public education is in a difficult position, don’t forget there are many incredible people teaching our children as well as talented students achieving brilliance. Check out the happy news

New Voice in the Education Budget Situation

The financial picture for education looks grim. However that doesn’t mean we should stop communicating with our legislators about what we expect from our Kansas schools. One voice that has lately emerged is Kansans for Quality Communities. It is a collaboration of several organizations such as KNEA, Kansas Families for Education, and Association of Mental Health Centers of Kansas. They have been actively communicating with legislators in Topeka. Click here for more information on this group and others working to aid our public schools.

“We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools.
We must make sure that people who have the grades,
the desire and the will, but not the money, can still
get the best education possible.”

~ President Barack Obama
