Environment Committee Activities

Our August meeting has been cancelled, and our next monthly meeting will be scheduled for some time in September.  More info will be posted here when the date is established.

A note on Holcomb: Due to the submission of incorrect emissions modeling data by Sunflower Electric for a portion of the draft permit, KDHE will add a second round of public comments on the Holcomb coal plant draft permit, to be scheduled once the corrected modeling data is submitted to KDHE (probably not prior to the end of August). This second round of public comment will likely last for 45 days and will include a fourth public hearing (most likely in the Topeka area). During the second round of public comment, the ENTIRE draft permit will be open for public comment.
