Affordable Care Act Expands Access to Preventive Services for Women
According to HealthCare.gov, "about 47 million women will now have guaranteed access to additional protective services without paying more at the doctor's office."


The eight new additional women's preventive services that will be covered without cost-sharing requirements include:
  • Well Woman Visits
  • Gestational Diabetes Screening
  • HPV DNA Testing
  • STI Counseling
  • HIV Screening and Counseling
  • Contraception and Contraceptive Counseling*
  • Breastfeeding Support, Supplies and Counseling
  • Interpersonal and Domestic Violence Screening and Counseling
